The Greene County Community Foundation recently announced that it is accepting grant applications.

The community foundation gives out grant funds to worthy causes from its allocated portion of money through Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation, the non-profit gaming license holder for Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson. The mission of the foundation is to “foster private giving, strengthen service providers and improve the overall well being of county residents. 

GCCF will consider all projects and programs that are under $35,000, while GGCGC will consider those projects that are over $35,000. Grant applications are online and must be submitted to Journey Financial at Home State Bank in Jefferson until February 10th at 4pm. Grants will be awarded in mid-March. Over the past 16 years, Greene County Community Foundation has awarded over $1.7 million in over 300 grants to non-profit organizations and governmental entities.
