Graveside services for Leon Meinecke, 81, of Jefferson, will be Monday, January 10th at 10 am at the Dawson Township Cemetery in Paton.

A visitation with the family present to greet friends will be Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson.  Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson.

Leon Meinecke is survived by his wife, Marilyn Lawton; daughters: Glennda (Tony) Nunez of Jefferson, Jacqueline (Terry) Weeda of Mount Ayr, Jana (Paul) Hayes  of Des Moines;  son, Kurt Meinecke of Jefferson;  12 grandchildren; 21  great-grandchildren;  1 great-great grandchild; sisters: Bettie Buzzell  of Punta Gorda, FL; Shirley Krech of Zellwood, FL; brothers Clarence (Wilma) Meinecke, Jr of Sheldon, IA; Larry (Sue) Meinecke of Jamaica, IA.
