The WCV wrestling team will hit the mats for the first time in 2022 on Thursday.

The Wildcats are looking to continue on their early success of the season. They’ll look to build on that with a quad against Tri-Center, Logan-Magnolia, and Underwood. The focus will be on Junior Braiden Beane.

He’s been honored as Student-Athlete of the Week by the school’s booster club. Wrestling coach Cody Nelson said this about Braiden. “Braiden has won every tournament this year. He is also 11-1 on the season and a great leader in the wrestling room.”

Beane and the rest of the WCV wrestling team will start the new year at 5pm in Stuart.
