Dallas Center – Grimes boys soccer was able to put together a special spring of 2021 season, as they were able to make it to the state semifinals of the 3A state soccer tournament while dominating competition for the majority of the season. Mustang soccer was able to put up a 17-4 record while finishing undefeated in Little Hawkeye Conference.

Mustang soccer was able to put up 78 goals over 21 games, as they were able to use a dynamic offense along with a shutdown defense to make life difficult for opposing teams most of the night. The Mustangs were able to start the season for six straight wins and was able to put up ten straight wins as well during the year plus postseason.

The Mustangs were able to defeat Webster City and Gilbert in district play to make the state tournament, and then were able to defeat Waverly – Shell Rock in the quarterfinals 1-0. The Mustangs concluded a great season losing in OT to Bondurant-Farrar 4-3.

For DCG, this is a program that has seen a lot of success in the last few years, and hope that 2022 will have some similar numbers for this good team.
