While the year of 2021 brought with it the return of more normal activities for one local school, the hopes are that 2022 will continue that trend.
St. Patrick’s Catholic School Principal Kandice Patillo says multiple events came back this year including the Light up the Knight fundraiser among other activities. Patillo says learning also returned to a more normal platform as well which was important.
“We have not stopped at any time educating and offering opportunities for our kids to learn, and it shows.”
Patillo tells Raccoon Valley Radio the hopes for 2022 are to continue to grow and looking forward to doing Catholic Schools Week, which is January 30th-February 5th 2022, the way it should be celebrated among other fun activities.
“They only have so much school time and they’ve not had a normal school year in over a year-and-a-half. We had kids that left and graduated our building that they didn’t get those activities and those fun things, or kids that have entered our building and never had a normal school year. We tried to go back to what they can have because an elementary year you can’t replicate that, they deserve it.”
Patillo says there will also be more fun events throughout the year including more community events as well as opening enrollment up.
