Raccoon Valley Radio and KGRA 98.9FM will be making improvements to the broadcast signal, which may cause some temporary disruptions.
General Manager John McGee says a new transmitter is being installed tomorrow at the KGRA 98.9FM tower site in Scranton. He points out the new transmitter will allow for a higher quality broadcast signal and to help manage weather-related issues such as icing interfering with the signal. He notes that with work happening at the tower site, there may be intermediate outages that may occur on 98.9FM.
McGee is hoping the project will be complete by Friday and he appreciates everyone’s patience through this process.
