Law Enforcement Center Project
The new Law Enforcement Center project at the Guthrie County Courthouse is progressing but has gotten off schedule.
Guthrie County District 5 Supervisor Mike Dickson states the weather has allowed them to make progress even though the project has fallen behind the original schedule completion date. Dickson says the process gets easier once the roof is installed.
“Yes, once the roof’s done and the windows are in or at least the openings are sealed up, yeah, they’re going to get temporary heat in there and the guys can work more on the inside. And like I said, the weather we’ve had, they’re getting all that outside work done too.”
Dickson explains once the roof is on the focus will be the interior throughout the rest of the winter season. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio an estimated date of completion could be May but he says it seems to change frequently.
