If you are searching for fun activities to take part in for the New Year’s holiday, one local library has an event coming up this week.
Minburn Public Library Director Nicole Connick says they will be hosting a Noon Year’s Eve Party from 11 a.m. to noon this Friday for those who would like to celebrate the holiday but don’t want to stay up late.
“We do a countdown to noon and then we have balloons fly, they come down from the ceiling. For those kids who aren’t going to be up at midnight or people who don’t want to be up at midnight it’s just a fun way to get everybody involved in it.”
Connick tells Raccoon Valley Radio this is the fifth year the celebration has been held and is returning to in-person this year after last year the event was held via video.
“We’re very thankful that we are going to get to do it this year and we are holding it actually in the gym at the old Minburn Elementary where our library is located so we still have plenty of room to spread out.”
Connick says there will be plenty of activities for every age to take part in at the event this year including fun games for all ages and popcorn among other things.
