The WCV wrestling team performed very well at the WCAC tournament.

The big winner of the tournament was junior Blaise Beane. He won his first match a quarter final match against Ogden’s Nathan Comer in the 152 lb division. He would then go on to win first place after beating Pleasantville’s Jacob Hiemstra.

The rest of the Wildcats also had very good performances. Drew Carl finished 4th in the 106 pound division. Other top performances include Kaedon Lindsay and Zach Teague finishing 3rd in 160 and 195 lb classes respectively. Wyatt Mangano wrestled at 138 lbs and took 3rd.

The Wildcats will take time off for the holidays and will be back January 6th. They’ll be host a quad meet against, Tri Center, Underwood and Logan-Magnolia. It’ll start at 5pm in Stuart.
