A Waukee man has been sentenced to probation following an incident in Stuart. 

According to court documents 23-year-old Triston Ludgwig was found guilty by court and sentenced to four years of probation for an aggravated misdemeanor for creating substantial risk to a minor and a serious misdemeanor for committing domestic assault. All other charges were dismissed, including a Class C Felony and an aggravated misdemeanor for committing burglary. 

The charges stem from an investigation by the Stuart Police Department. Ludwig threatened a female victim and her child and forced his way into her residence and stole property. The incident took place July 3rd, 2021 on Fremont Street in Stuart. 

Ludwig was also ordered to pay over $1,200 in fines, surcharges and victim restitution.
