The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board approved Jamaica Reed as the homeless coordinator at their regular meeting this past Monday. 

The Board also appointed Eric Brown as the Board secretary, treasurer and school business official, as well as the equity and affirmative action coordinator, Tim Canney as Board President and Bart Banwart as Board Vice President.

The Board also approved official depositories with Lincoln Savings Bank and UMB, a Meadow View Elementary change order in the amount of $20,712, setting a public hearing at 6 p.m. January 10th for the 2022-2023 school calendar and a calendar modification for seniors to not have class on May 25th

Additionally, the Board approved an increase in substitute teacher pay to try and combat the current shortage, a Meadow View Elementary shade quote for $14,154, physical education exemptions for high school students for next school year to allow PE to be taken one semester rather than the whole year, and a Morningside University agreement for Teacher Education Clinical Experience Placement which aims to place teacher education candidates within the District.
