
For one local organization in Perry it was a recent recipient of a state grant.
Hometown Heritage in Perry has received $16,500 through an Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs Humanities Project Grant. The money aims to be used to create five videos on the themes of family, faith, work, education and loss.
These videos will be used in programming throughout the year in 2022 titled “Re-awakening History Through Our Stories,” and was one of 31 projects throughout the state that received funding that totalled $364,769.
