Tuesday, December 14th

1:59am: Angela Dudley reported hearing noises in her basement in the 500 Block of South Olive Street. The officer did not find anything out of the ordinary.

6:51am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Greenewood Road resulted in Guillermo Gonzales-Ponce of Texas being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

8:38am: Jade Nunez reported her child being bullied at the school bus stop in the mornings. She advised her daughter was assaulted by a child on the bus. The officer is working with the school and investigating the report.

8:41am: A caller advised of a large truck illegally parked in the intersection of the 200 Block of South Wilson Ave. The officer worked with the owner of the truck and gave him ample time to have the vehicle removed from the street. Eventually the officer had the vehicle towed to Impound, since the owner failed to remove the traffic hazard.

10:36am: An officer began an investigation into a stolen purse from 12/11/2021, which had occurred at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer has been provided with a suspect and is investigating.

12:43pm: An officer responded to a Medic Alert Alarm at 106 West Washington Street. The subject had accidentally tripped her alarm while shopping and was fine.

2:11pm: A caller advised of a southbound vehicle on North Elm Street driving in the northbound lanes. A plate was given to the officer. He located the subject at ER. A family member was contacted to drive the subject home.

3:34pm: An officer assisted the Medical Examiner in a Death Investigation in the 500 Block of East Wilcoxway.

4:51pm: Laura Meyer reported two juveniles removing rocks from the rock wall along the 400 Block of West Russell Street. The officer located the pair and spoke to their parents about the behavior.

6:59pm: Tony Sparks showed an officer a check for $4900.00 he had received through Priority Mail. He was instructed to deposit the check and keep $600.00 for himself, while sending the rest of the funds to the sender. The officer advised Sparks this was a scam ad the check is not real. It will not clear the bank, and he will be responsible for the entire amount.

8:47pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of North Vine Street.

11:40pm: An officer removed a bat from a residence in the 100 Block of East Clark Street.
