The Guthrie County Supervisors approved American Rescue Plan Act funds for government employees who worked during the pandemic at their meeting on Tuesday. 

The Board approved $2,500 to be paid over two calendar years to full time county employees, and part time employees will receive an adjusted amount, while elected officials will receive $5,000 in  one calendar year provided the Compensation Board approves the proposal. Additional projects that the American Rescue Plan Act funds will go towards are body cameras for law enforcement, a Sport Utility Vehicle for the Health Services Department and a radio program for several departments.

The Board also held a public hearing and approved an ordinance establishing election precinct boundaries for Guthrie County and set a public hearing for the second required reading on December 28th at 9:30am. They also approved the Elderbridge Agency on Aging 28E Agreement, Iowa Land Agreement, a liquor license for Lake Panorama National Golf Course, and a bid packet and notice for the Law enforcement Center Project furniture, fixtures and equipment. 

The Board canvassed the votes of the Rural Improvement Zone Election and tabled the Samuels Group Pay application and Board Adjustment appointment.
