The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved the auditor elections statement of cost at their regular meeting Tuesday.

The Board approved the cost for the recent city/school elections to the jurisdictions. The cost was a total of $57,426 and includes ballot costs, publications, postage, legal fees among other items.

Also, the Board approved a Carriage House restoration project pay application for $4,892, with just the retainage amount left to be paid.  Then the Board took no action on the Mid-Iowa Planning Alliance membership dues with a cost of $2,025 as they felt the services were much the same as what the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance already provides.

Finally, the Board discussed the opioid litigation settlement which included two participation agreements and a memorandum of understanding between Dallas County and the State of Iowa in participation in the settlement which the Board approved.

Also, the Board tabled approval of  a Law Enforcement Center overhang repair proposal to fix the east and west side entrance as they have a leak that has water running into the card reader and causing issues. The Board took no action as they wanted to gather more information.

The Board then moved into a closed session to discuss the purchase of particular real estate.
