
WCV girls and boys basketball had their work cut out for them on Friday night against rival Panorama.
For the girls they were up against an undefeated Panorama team. A team that had been dominate this early season. The matchup with WCV was no different. The Panthers benefited from a near perfect second quarter. After the first it was only a 16-14 lead for the Panthers. Then Panorama went on a 29-2 run in the second and never looked back. They would win this one 70-21.
The boys had an 0pponent with an identical 1-3 record heading into their game. It was a very defensive back and forth game at halftime. The score was 27-21 in favor of the Panthers. However in the the second half Panorama took over the game. Scoring 19 and 18 points in the second half to WCV’s 10 and 9 points. This would give them the edge 64-40.
WCV will be back in action Monday night against Paton-Churdan. Tipoff will be at 6pm.
