The first snowfall could potentially be coming through west central Iowa and residents of Guthrie Center, Stuart and Panora are reminded of their respective snow ordinances.

For Guthrie Center, no vehicles should be parked on any residential street, alley or city owned off street parking area during an Emergency Parking Ban. All vehicles parked will be removed when any snow removal equipment is needed for the streets. For Stuart any time snow removal operations are in progress there is no parking on a residential street, alley or city owned off street parking area. The City of Panora states no person is allowed to park a vehicle on a public street during the period of 48 hours hours after the end of snowfall unless that snow has been removed from the street. Bans on parking will go into effect with the accumulation of one inch of snow or more.
