6:23am: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on E Avenue near 330th Street.

12:09pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 400 block of Harding Street, Churdan.

12:24pm: The Sheriff and deputies assisted with a medical call in the 300 block of South Wilson Street.

1:19pm: A deputy assisted with cattle out in the 1500 block of 310th Street.

4:38pm: A deputy investigated a car deer accident on 220th Street and B Avenue. Ashley Richardson 31 of West Des Moines struck a deer with a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox causing an estimated 4,000 dollars damage.

5:44pm: A deputy investigated an illegal burning complaint on Kelly Street, Grand Junction.

Wednesday, December 1st

6:13am: A deputy investigated a property dispute in the 600 block of south 15th Street, Grand Junction.

3:08pm: A deputy assisted the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office with a pursuit on V Avenue near 305th Street in Greene County. The pursuit started in Dawson. Curtis Moorhead 44 of Jamaica was taken into custody.

5:52pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious person on U Avenue near 240th Street.

6:03pm: Grand Junction Fire and Rescue, Greene County Ambulance, Jefferson Fire, and deputies responded to a two-vehicle rollover accident on 220 th Street near 16th Street, Grand Junction. Jerry Petersen 71 of Boxholm was traveling east on 220th Street. Jerry attempted to pass a semi and struck a vehicle that west bound head on. Jerry’s vehicle rolled several times into the south ditch. Jerry was driving a 2013 Ford Edge that was totaled in the accident. A licensed juvenile was driving a 2014 Jeep Wrangler west bound with 3 family members. The Jeep lost control after the accident and went into the north ditch. The jeep was a total loss. The driver of the Ford Edge was transported and was wearing a seat belt and all airbags deployed. The occupants of the Jeep were uninjured and also wearing their seat belts. Jerry was cited for unsafe passing.

Thursday, December 2nd

12:35am: A deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 400 block of South 9th Street, Grand Junction.

2:22pm: A deputy investigated a property dispute I the 300 block of south 12th Street, Grand Junction.

3:42pm: A deputy and the Paton Fire Department responded to a gas leak in the 400 block of East Paton Street, Paton.

3:54pm: A deputy investigated a vicious dog complaint in the 500 block of State Street, Scranton.

4:19pm: A deputy, Jefferson Fire Department, and Scranton Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in the 600 block of 300 th Street. A 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix and a 2008 Travel Trailer were both a total loss in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

6:59pm: The Sheriff’s Office and the Jefferson Police Department conducted a search warrant at 609 West Adams Street, Jefferson. Suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were seized. Charges are pending lab results.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
