The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved a facilities department mower purchase at their regular meeting Tuesday.

The Board approved the purchase of a mower from Moss Bros Incorporated in Dallas Center for the amount of $10,500 for the county facilities department. Also, the Board discussed a rezoning for Alternate Route Properties for  a portion of property that is zoned agriculture to industrial, which the Supervisors approved to keep the public hearing open until after January 1st to continue to review information and hear public comments. The public hearing will resume January 11th at 9:30 a.m. 

Additionally, the Board approved purchasing two additional mowers for the Secondary Roads Department from Rueter’s Red Power in Grand Junction for $63,000, along with approving a minor replat of Lot One of Timberline Ranch Estates due to the current owner wanting to split the lot into two lots.

Also, the Dallas County Greater Development Alliance Executive Director Alex Lynch gave an update which included showing more income that came into the organization during 2021 as well as discussing how membership is doing, which reports are good for membership. 

The Board also discussed the fact that the Dayton Stagecoach Inn was listed in the National Register of Historic Places effective on November 17th, 2021. The Board also approved two reprecincting memorandum of understandings with the cities of Adel and Grimes.
