The WCV girls basketball team tipped off the 2021-22 season last night.
The Wildcats were on the road to take on the Southeast Warren Warhawks. It was a hard fought back and forth game on the hardwood. Both teams were fairly evenly matched throughout. After the first quarter the score was 11-7 with WCV having the advantage. The game went in to halftime with the Wildcats leading the Warhawks 16-15.
Southeast Warren would manage to have a big 3rd quarter. They put up 14 points while WCV only managed eight. They would continue that momentum again in the 4th adding 14 in that quarter as well. WCV scored 15 in the 4th but came up short in this one, 43-38.
Now, WCV will look to regroup and hit the road to take on Ogden. That game will tipoff at 6pm on Friday.
