Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library is asking residents to get creative for their “Holiday Showcase 2021” event.

The Library is trying something new this year instead of the Festival of Trees. Library Aid Jerri Hawkins says they are asking residents to pick up a template and design a Christmas stocking to be on display in the library. 

“Be creative and they can make the stocking out of any kind of material, whatever they want to do. We just are trying to make them all the same size then they  also can donate the stocking to the library, and if they want to stuff it they can stuff it with things and put a silent auction on it.”

Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library would ask participants to submit an entry form by today or deliver their stocking to the library by November 27th.
