U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne

For Iowa’s Third Congressional District, the incumbent recently announced her re-election bid.  

Congresswoman and Democrat Cindy Axne announced she will be running again for Iowa’s Third Congressional District. Axne is currently running for reelection against three Republican candidates and she has been serving in this role since 2018 after beating then-incumbent David Young. 

With the redistricting if Axne were reelected she would be serving the counties of Dallas, Greene and Guthrie as their U.S. Representative. Due to redistricting, potential Republican candidate Representative Mariannete Miller-Meeks would have been running in Axne’s district but has instead chosen to run in Iowa’s First Congressional District.
