A Jefferson woman was recently sentenced to jail and probation for an August incident.
According to court documents, 29-year-old Jessica Duong pled guilty of two aggravated misdemeanors for her second offense for an OWI and operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. Duong had a two year prison sentence suspended and was sentenced to seven days in the Greene County Jail for the OWI charge and was placed on one year of probation.
The charges stemmed from an incident on August 12th. A Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of West Gallop Road at 1:59am. Duong agreed to field sobriety and breathalyzer tests, and her blood concentration level was 0.214-percent. The deputy also found out that Duong was driving a vehicle that wasn’t hers and she didn’t have permission to drive it.
Duong was also ordered to pay over $2,000 in fines, court costs and court-appointed attorney fees.
