An annual fundraiser for Greene County’s largest employer is currently underway.
The Greene County Medical Center Foundation’s Greene Backer campaign raises money every year to provide services and programs at the medical center. The fundraising goal is $75,000, which will be used to purchase equipment for a new pain clinic that will start early next year. As of November 5th, medical center staff and board members have contributed $15,000 toward the $75,000 goal.
The campaign now turns its attention to public donations. Everyone is invited to donate funds and monetary gifts will also be accepted in memory of someone, along with recurring gifts.
Over the past year, the medical center was able to make enhancements, including hiring two new Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners for the Family Medicine Clinic, a new mental health nurse practitioners for behavioral health, a new outpatient urology clinic, additional emergency-trained physicians for 24/7 care and continued access to local services.
