The holiday season is approaching, which means the 10th annual Raccoon Valley Radio Caring Christmas Food Drive is getting underway.

The Big Red Radio and Little Big Red Radio will be at an assortment of locations around the listening area throughout the next month collecting donations to fill the local food pantries. The drive gets started tomorrow at Hometown Foods in Panora from 4pm to 6pm sponsored by Early Morning Harvest. Additionally there will be locations at the Hometown Market from 11am-1p in Earlham on Friday, sponsored by Earlham Building Center, and at Hy-Vee in Jefferson from 3-5pm sponsored by Heritage Insurance on Saturday.

Raccoon Valley Radio reminds listeners that donating to the food drive will also enter you into the Caring Christmas cash giveaway. Again this year Raccoon Valley Radio will be giving away three $1,000 prizes, one on each of the three stations KDLS, KGRA, and KKRF. You can find all the ways to register for the grand prize online. Additionally, there is the ability to donate virtually. Every Christmas Cash Call registration box will have a scannable QR code that will direct you to a secure donation website tied directly to the food pantry in the area. You can also donate online.
