An author from the Stuart area recently published a book with the setting in the City of Stuart and Adair County.

Jeri Le Henry, a former resident of Stuart, wrote the book the “Farmers Daughter,” while helping her sick father. While she was in quarantine, Henry decided to take some of her experiences growing up in Stuart and put it into a book.

“Different parts of my growing up in Stuart that I incorporated into the story. My parents farm was two miles from Fairview Church, so Fairview Church is a part of the story and just some landmarks that I remember.”

Henry further describes what her book is about.

“It’s really about a relationship between a farmer and his daughter that is broken throughout their lifetime. They’ve had much tragedy, they have had deaths in the family, and a lot of thing(s) that have cause brokenness between the two of them. So the book really walks you through the healing process between this farmer and his daughter.”

Henry published this book earlier this fall and it was her first book published as an author. Henry donated a book to the Stuart Library and will have a book signing at the library on January 8th 2022.
