A reminder about a free event that is happening in Jefferson tomorrow highlights artists and their work.
“Ekphrasis” will feature ten works of art from ten Greene County artists, whose work was randomly given to ten local poets to interpret and create a poem. Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Tower View Team Chair Deb McGinn invites the public to listen to the poets recite their creations that describe the other artist’s work at 2pm at History Boy Theatre in Jefferson tomorrow. McGinn talks about how this idea came about.
“Jed McGee brought this to Tower View Team. He lived in a community before coming back to Jefferson that had done this and he said it’s a real fun event, and Roger Aegerter had always wanted to do this as well. So that’s why we did it.”
Ekphrasis is free and open to the public and refreshments will also be served.
