There will be plenty of activities taking place this weekend in Perry as a local organization holds its annual event.
The 11th annual Art on the Prairie Festival will be taking place today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring artists, activities and musicians.
Also, the Perry Public Library will have plenty of activities going on during the festival including hosting local artists and artisans, a Chad Elliot children’s event at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. today and 1 p.m. tomorrow, among other activities.
Art on the Prairie Board Member Lynsi Pasutti encourages everyone in the community to come out and enjoy the event this weekend.
“One of the phrases that we use is that we are celebrating art, music, literature and the joys of small town living all wrapped up into this two day event in historic downtown Perry. To us that means that we are showcasing the artwork but it’s more than just a festival, it’s more than just a regular art show where you are booth after booth in a convention hall.”
