A lot of rainfall this week helped drought conditions in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area.
According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor, the majority of Dallas, Guthrie and Greene counties are abnormally dry. Additionally, a small southern portion in Dallas and Guthrie counties shows no signs of drought and the northwest portion of Greene County has no drought.
According to the National Weather Service, since the beginning of November through this past Friday, Perry has received 0.99-inches of rainfall, Jefferson had 0.77-inches of rainfall, and Guthrie Center saw 0.81-inches of rainfall
