The City of Jefferson is reminding residents about the final opportunity for city crews to pick up yard waste for free.

Residents must put yard waste in biodegradable bags and no yard waste stickers are required. These items will be picked up for free on your normal garbage day from November 15th-17th. No plastic bags with yard waste items will be picked up. The City is also reminding residents that wood chipping is done for the rest of this year.

Any resident who still has yard waste after the final free pick up can take those items to the yard waste dump site at Daubendiek Park or you can openly burn those items on your property. Open burning is prohibited in the alleyway, sidewalk or city street.
