Greene County finished 4-3 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference volleyball, good for fourth place among eight teams. The Rams had junior hitter Bella Schroeder named to the All-Conference first team.
Chris Heisterkamp is head coach of the Rams and the coach talked about Schroeder with Raccoon Valley Radio. “We relied heavily on her when she was in front row. We set to her over and over again and she led our team in kills. She plays on a Club team and it shows. You can just see her experience. When we get in a tough moment, she knows exactly what to do.”
The Rams were 16-13 overall in 2021, their first varsity winning season in volleyball since 2011.
