Now is the time of year when many grant opportunities are available and Greene County ISU Extension is offering a higher-level workshop to help with that.
“Grant Writing 201” will be held at the Greene Room events center of Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson Monday, November 15th from 9am-4pm. Greene County Extension Director Lori Mannel says this workshop goes beyond the basic understanding of how to write a grant application.
“We’re all about leveraging your grant. So sometimes you write a grant to help get another grant to fund a project. So we all know it takes a lot of money to do a project that you’re very passionate about.”
Other topics the course will cover includes documentation that grants require, as well as methodology, evaluation and budgets. The program will be led by ISU Extension Community and Economic Development Specialists Jane Goeken and Lindsay Henderson. It is free to attend, which also includes lunch. Registration is done online and the deadline to sign up is November 10th. Click the link below to register or contact the Greene County Extension Office at 515-386-2138.
