A local high school in Guthrie County is hosting a musical later this week.
Panorama High School’s Speech and Drama Departments will be performing “Shrek: The Musical Junior,” at the high school auditorium. Gracie Phillips who plays the mama bear and a Duloc singer explains what’s the difference about this musical then others in the past.
“I’d say the biggest difference is like time that I noticed this year, it’s like an hour and 15 minutes which is nice so we can run it twice for practice but we have a lot more characters and everyone has a costume this year. So it’s really, really fun.”
Rehearsals started in September and there are over 35 characters in the show. Additionally, the booster club was able to donate some money to help all the cast members have costumes. There will be three shows that will take place on Friday and Saturday at 7pm, and the last show on Sunday starts at 2pm and the cost of entry is $5.
