It’s Election Day and here is where eligible Greene County voters need to cast their ballots for the city and school board elections.

One change that was made is that all three voting precincts in Jefferson will cast their ballots at one location, which is at the Greene County Community Center. The central precinct will be at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson. The east precinct voting location is St. Brigid Parish Center in Grand Junction. Voters in the north precinct must go to the Community Hall in Churdan, while those in the west precinct are voting at Scranton City Hall. The polls are open from 7am-8pm. 

Those who are eligible, but not registered to vote in Greene County, may register to vote today. Those individuals must bring with them proof of identity and residency. The same day voter registration procedure may slow the voting process down for those choosing to register to vote today. According to the Greene County Auditor’s Office, employers must allow their employees two consecutive hours to vote on Election Day if the employee does not already have two consecutive hours off during the time that the polls are open.

CENTRAL PRECINCT – Clover Hall, Fairgrounds, Jefferson (Consisting of voters within Bristol, Grant,

Greenbrier, Franklin, Hardin and Jackson Townships) 601 E. Lincoln Way St., Jefferson.

EAST PRECINCT – St. Brigid Parish Center, Grand Junction (Consisting of voters within Junction &

Washington Townships, Cities of Dana, Grand Junction and Rippey) 602 Hager Street E., Grand Junction.

JEFFERSON PRECINCT – Greene County Community Center, Jefferson (Consisting of all voters within the

city limits of Jefferson) 204 W. Harrison St., Jefferson.

NORTH PRECINCT – Community Hall, Churdan (consisting of voters within Cedar, Dawson, Highland and

Paton Townships, Cities of Churdan and Paton) 410 Sand Street, Churdan.

WEST PRECINCT – City Hall, Scranton (consisting of voters within Kendrick, Scranton and Willow

Townships and the City of Scranton) 900 Eagle St., Scranton.
