Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls cross country have gotten used to making their annual trip to Fort Dodge for state cross country, with 2021 being one for the books for the success of this program.
Aiden Ramsey was able to grab an individual state championship as he was able to survive some tough course conditions and grab a time of 15 minutes 36 seconds. The team was also able to find their third consecutive state championship as a team, this one a thrilling finish as they were able to defeat Marion by just two points, DCG scoring 60 on the day.
The girls were able to get another top three result to finish third, the fourth straight year that the Mustangs have been able to finish in the top 3.
For DCG they will lose some big names on both of the rosters, but with the talent returning, many will be expecting them to return to Fort Dodge for 2022, and maybe see similar results as well.
