The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team will be preparing for its first regular season action at the end of this month.
The Panthers will be looking to replicate their success from last year where they capped off the season with an overall record of of 19-5 and made it all the way to the Class 3A Region 1 championship game after handily beating the Red Oak Tigers 72-33 in the quarterfinal and the Shenandoah Fillies 60-13 in the semifinal round. The Panthers fell to the Cherokee Washington Braves in the championship round by a score of 74-46.
The Panthers girls will have plenty of contributors returning to the court this year including Payton Beckman who is returning for her senior year and she averaged 20.3 points per game for the Panthers last year. Also, other key contributors from last year will be returning to the court this year for the Panthers.
The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team will be looking to continue their historical success as dating back to the 2006-2007 season the Panthers girls have an overall record of 292-61 and in that time span have not lost more than 10 games in one season. Also, in that same timespan the Panthers have won 20 or more games in 10 of those seasons.
The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team will look to get their season started when they face off against the Mount Ayr Raiders beginning at 6 p.m. November 30th right at home in Panora at Panorama High School.
