Friday, October 29th

2:58am: An officer located an Open Door at 610 North Elm Street. The officer secured the business.

9:30am: Valarie Levy reported that her boyfriend had recently moved out from 701 North Cedar Street, #29. She advised that she was now missing $80.00 from her child’s piggy bank and had located Drug Paraphernalia in his coat. The officer took control of the items for destruction.

12:25pm: Melinda Madison reported a Parking Issue in the 100 Block of North Walnut Street. The officer determined that nothing illegal was occurring.

3:19pm: Mark Tasler spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Issue occurring at 1000 West Adams Street.

4:30pm: Shannon Faller spoke to an officer about a Civil Issue occurring with a cell phone.

6:36pm: Karen Arbuckle requested a Welfare Check on a female in the 400 Block of North Locust Street. The officer made contact with the subject, who was fine.

8:22pm: Casey’s advised a subject had left without paying for items. The officer determined the subject had attempted to pay for the items, but the system failed to charge her card. The officer contacted the subject, who returned and paid for the items.

9:24pm: Paulette Stampe reported receiving Unwanted Text Messages from a family member. She did not wish for the officer to take any action.

9:56pm: A caller reported a male subject at 405 North Chestnut Street was kicking the door to the residence and screaming. The officer made contact with the subject, who had locked himself out of the residence. The officer assisted him in gaining access to the residence.

Saturday, October 30th

11:31am: A caller advised of a semi on 220th Street, approaching Jefferson from the east was losing items off the trailer. The officer located the semi at Sparky’s and spoke to the driver about the complaint. The officer checked several miles of 220th Street, but did not locate any debris.

12:40pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and 250th Street resulted in Jason Palmer of Jamacia being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

2:18pm: Linda Cherryholmes reported her husband was missing. The officer contacted the husband, who was fine and just did not want to go home.

2:41pm: Joy Fox reported a vehicle with possible mechanical issues on Gallop Road. The vehicle had left the area before the officer arrived.

4:46pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street.

6:23pm: Mary Norgart reported a Stray Cat near Cedar and Washington Streets. The officer did not locate the animal.

9:55pm: Sparky’s One Stop reported three young subjects attempting to purchase tobacco with what was believed to be Fake ID’s. The subjects had already left the business.

11:34pm: Melinda Madison reported Harassment from a neighbor in the 100 Block of North Walnut Street. The officer spoke to a neighbor, who ad no idea what Madison was talking about. She was the only subject home and had not spoken to Madison.

11:51pm: A caller advised of a male and female involved in a Verbal Argument in the street on West Washington Street. The subjects had left the area in two separate vehicles. The officer did not locate the reported subjects.

Sunday, October 31st

12:51am: The Cobble Stone Hotel requested a Welfare Check on a female staying in a room at 771 Wild Rose Lane. Contact was made with the subject, who was asleep and fine.

6:19am: Bryce Delaney reported his girlfriend had not returned home from her employment in Boone and he was concerned. The officer had a Boone officer go to her place of employment. She was present and was fine.

8:23am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical call in the 600 Block of South Vine Street.

11:05am: A Traffic Stop at Westwood and Deer Run resulted in Jamie Theulen of Scranton being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

7:59pm: Sparky’s One Stop reported one of the subjects with a fake ID was back at the business. Three local juvenile’s names were given to the officer as being the three responsible. The officer is investigating.

9:12pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the parking lot at 106 West Washington Street. A 2016 Ram 1500, owned by Shiena Hadley and operated by Alayna Hadley of Jefferson, was backing in the lot and struck a parked vehicle. The 2011 Chevrolet Impala was owned by Brant Schmit of Jefferson. The Brant vehicle suffered a reported $3000.00 in damages, while the Hadley vehicle had a reported $300.00 in damages.

10:36pm: Roger Nielson reported a Hit & Run Accident, which had occurred at 102 South Grimmell Road. A younger male in a Chevrolet Tahoe backed into a vehicle and left the area. Neilson grabbed the Registration Plate from the vehicle. A 2005 Ford Taurus, owned by Frances Baker of Jefferson, received $2000.00 in damages. The officer is working to speak with the driver of the vehicle that left the scene.
