Class 3A first round postseason football is tonight in the state of Iowa, and the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers will be hoping to put up a big time performance when they travel up to Nevada to take on the Cubs. The Tigers enter the matchup with a 7-2 record and Nevada at 8-1, both teams being automatic qualifiers after both finishing runner up in their respective districts.

Both of these teams faced off against each other in week 1 of 2020, with the Cubs winning by the score of 41-21. That was a game that Tiger football didn’t have multiple players available in that game due to COVID protocol, and both rosters have had big change since that game. Both teams have run first attacks with the ability to make dynamic plays through the air as well. Defensively is a pair of ball hawking defenses that know how to get into teams backfields, and have created havoc for the majority of the year.

For the Tigers, they will have to find a way around a stout Cub defense, one that has not given up more that 20 points on the year, they will have to establish a running game, and limit the dynamic playmakers that the Cubs have.

You can listen to the game on True Country K1079, the KKRF app, and raccoonvalleyradio.com. First kick will be at 7 o’clock with pregame coverage from Adel Healthmart will be on at 6:35.
