Ahead of the fast approaching city/school elections next week, now is the time to learn more about the candidates.

Perry Mayor John Andorf is running for reelection and is unopposed. He has served as mayor  since 2017 after spending time on the City Council. Andorf has lived in Perry since 1976 and worked at Woodward Resource Center before retiring as an administrator. He reflects on his years as mayor.

“I have enjoyed being mayor and even more than that I have enjoyed working with the people of Perry and I really think Perry is an exciting community. We have had so much development and growth in the last few years.

Andorf tells Raccoon Valley Radio some of the things he wants to see the City do is continue to plan for future growth. Andorf says another focus should be on more amenities and working on infrastructure.

“I think we need to focus on working on getting more industry, more businesses to town and we continue to need to work on our infrastructure, which we have done a lot of and just work on some of those areas.”

Andorf will be running unopposed for reelection in the November 2nd city/school elections.
