Funeral Services for Sharon Mae Bates, 77, of Windsor Heights and formerly of Perry will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Burial will take place in the Rippey Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2021 with family present from 5-7 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Sharon is survived by her children Susan Bates-Staudt (Terry) of Rockford, IA, Edwin Bates IV (Lisa) of Waukee, and Donald Bates of West Des Moines; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother John Wilson (Peggy) of Perry, and cousin Betty Mae Martin of Milsap, TX.
