
The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved an amended development agreement with Tyson Fresh Meats at their regular meeting Tuesday.
The amended agreement takes out any references to the Iowa Economic Development Authority agreement which was previously terminated. The first payment will be in 2023.
Also, the Board approved a Dallas County Law Enforcement Center cooling improvements request for service for the east entrance vestibule project in the amount of $66,200 with Alvine Engineering and Design.
Finally, the Board approved a Pitney Bowes Postage Meter Lease to upgrade equipment that is no longer supported, held the first reading of proposed amendments to Chapter 2 of Dallas County Ordinances for county infractions and set a time and date of 9:45 a.m. November 2nd for the second reading.
Additionally, the Board discussed future county and court space needs but took no action on the discussion item. The Board did not approve the abatement of mobile home taxes as the motion died due to the lack of a second.
