Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers cross country is getting ready for their final race of the season this Friday, with the boys teams to compete and Geneva Timmerman on the girls side able to qualify for the state race.
Timmerman was the lone qualifier as well last year for the Tigers and will be looking to improve upon their 7th place finish as a sophomore with a time of 19 minutes and 9 seconds.
The Tigers will have some runners that have some state experience, including senior Cooper Greenslade who placed 33rd last year with a time of 17 minutes and 21 seconds, and sophomore Hubie Chaplin was able to place 98th as a freshmen with a time of 18 minutes and 49 seconds. The boys team finished 9th last year in the state race with graduate Nate Mueller winning the 3A individual title.
The race for the girls will be happening at 2:30 and the boys will be running at 3:15, as ADM will be looking for a strong showing against great competition.
