Friday, October 22nd
11:02am: Jesse Bannor of Madrid, Iowa asked an Officer questions regarding what could be done with a vehicle abandoned on a property he owned in Jefferson, The Officer answered these questions.
11:50am: Tyler Rsyavy of Jefferson reported an altercation between he and his wife in the 100 block of North Olive Street. The Officer responded and helped mediate the situation.
2:03pm: A Fed-Ex driver reported she was making deliveries in the 300 block of North Chestnut Street. While doing so, she believed she heard a resident call for help. The Officer checked on the situation and found the resident had said hello to the driver, not help. No assistance was needed.
2:07pm: Employees of Oly’s Gas Station reported the driver of a black SUV had pumped $37.48 and left without paying. A license plate was for the vehicle was provided to the Officer. The Officer spoke with the vehicle’s driver by phone and found they had tried to pay at the pump. They were unaware the payment was not received and made arrangements to pay the debt.
Saturday, October 23rd
12:17am: An employee of the Greene County Medical Center asked an Officer to relay a message to a family member of a person at the hospital. The Officer relayed this message.
1:11am: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call in the 600 block of West Madison Street.
9:42am: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call in the 1200 block of Riverside Drive.
10:45am: An Officer assisted the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office on North Highway 4 near the intersection with 300th Street. The Officer assisted as needed until a Greene County Deputy arrived and took over.
12:07pm: Kevin Steelman of Jefferson reported criminal mischief to his vehicle in the 1000 block of West Adams Street. The Officer is investigating.
9:33pm: An Officer preformed a traffic stop near the intersection of North Vine Street and West Head Street. As a result of the traffic stop, Alicia Hawkins of Jefferson was issued citations for “Fail to Obey Stop Sign” and “Violation of Conditions of Restricted License”
10:48pm: An Officer preformed a traffic stop in the 1100 block of East Lincolnway Street. As a result of the traffic stop, Jordan Ward of Jefferson was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”
Sunday, October 24th
8:16am: An employee of the Jefferson Library reported a suspicious vehicle parked behind the building in the 200 block of West Washington Street. The Officer spoke with the vehicle’s driver and found nothing suspicious.
8:42am: An employee of Sparky’s One Stop reported a customer had accidently locked herself out of her car with her child inside. The Officer responded and unlocked the vehicle. The child appeared to be unharmed.
9:35am: An Officer preformed a traffic stop near the intersection of North Elm Street and 220th Street. As a result of the traffic stop, Jami McLamb of Pleasantville was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”
10:07am: Brandon Mitchell of Jefferson reported he had caught a feral cat in a live trap and had questions of what could be done. The Officer answered these questions.
10:30am: Casandra Jones of Jefferson reported she was receiving unwanted text messages. The Officer reached out to the party sending the message and advised them to
stop. Casandra was advised of this.
2:27pm: An Officer performed a traffic stop in the 1600 block of North Grimmell Road. As a result of the traffic stop, Anthony Monthei of Jefferson was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”
5:40pm: An Officer was dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of West Madison Street, for two abandoned 911 calls. The Officer checked the residence and found the calls were accidental.
