For those who are in the spirit of Halloween, there will be a fun event happening in downtown Perry this Friday.
Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the Spooktacular event will be taking place this Friday from 4-6 p.m. in downtown Perry. Pasutti reminds everyone the road is closed down including Willis Avenue from 1st Street to 3rd Street and 2nd Street from Otley Avenue to Pattee Street during the event and is usually well attended.
“We expect about a thousand kids to come downtown based on past numbers of what businesses have said that they have handed out over the years.”
Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio the businesses located downtown participate in the event along with other businesses and organizations that are not a downtown company to join in the event. Pasutti says it’s a fun event for the kids.
“That’s a really nice event for the kids. It’s 4-6 p.m. so it’s still light outside so people can feel safe walking out and being in the downtown cultural district.”
Pasutti says the focus of the free event is to have a fun and safe environment for families to trick or treat. For more information you can go here.
