A Churdan man was recently arrested for an incident from last year.
According to court documents, a Greene County Deputy conducted a traffic stop for no license plate and witnessed the vehicle swerving. The traffic stop was just after 11pm on May 9, 2020 on E Avenue and 240th Street in Scranton. The deputy noticed a strong marijuana odor coming from the vehicle and the driver having bloodshot and watery eyes, and lagging speech. During a consent search, a smoking device and a grinder with a green leafy substance found on 23-year-old Luke Molle. He then told the deputy he didn’t have any other drug-related items with him. Molle was then arrested for his first offense for an OWI.
After being transported to the Greene County Jail, Molle had a baggie with 22 grams of marijuana on his person. Test results came back positive for marijuana in December. Molle was additionally charged with a Class D Felony for possession of contraband in a correctional facility, a serious misdemeanor for his first offense for possession of marijuana, and a simple misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.
A warrant was then issued and Molle was recently arrested this past Saturday, October 16th. He was booked and released from the Greene County Jail after posting bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
