The Panorama Panthers Volleyball Team headed to Corning Wednesday night to take part in the Class 2A Region 3 quarterfinals against the Southwest Valley Timberwolves but fell short in three sets ending their season.

The Panthers found themselves in the quarterfinals after a win over the IKM-Manning Wolves on Monday night and headed to Corning Wednesday night to take on a then 16-13 Timberwolves squad for their shot to move on once again.

The Panthers lost set one 25-13 but battled in the second set 25-20 and fell short in the third set 25-12. The Panthers ended their season with an overall record of 7-21 on the season. The Timberwolves improved to 17-13 on the season and advance to the next match and take on the AC/GC Chargers.

Panthers Volleyball coach Joanne Sandage says throughout the match the Panthers struggled with serve receive and getting things going on offense. Jaidyn Sellers had six kills, Tyme Boettcher and Grace Webner had four kills on the night and Jasmarie Flanery had one kill.

Jazmyn Sellers led in digs with 12 and Grace Webner and Jaidyn Sellers had seven. Tyme Boettcher had six digs while Mollie Monthei had four and Carley Van Gundy had three and Jasmarie Flanery brought two digs throughout the match.

The Panthers season ended with the loss against the Timberwolves Wednesday night but they will look to come back next season.
