The City of Perry is seeing a ramp up of several projects to further its overall economic development.
There are a host of projects occurring throughout Perry including the installation of solar power, the potential for Kwik Star coming to Perry, as well as work on the Perry Airport among other projects. City Administrator Sven Peterson explains the importance of development.
“Overall, I think growth is a good thing for our community. It’s one of those that it’s good to see that progress, we have the apartments that went up, we have housing going up, some of these commercial projects.”
Peterson tells Raccoon Valley Radio overall there is a good business climate in Perry currently as other businesses are working on expansions including Percival Scientific and Progressive Foundry.
“Just really important for us to be able to capitalize on that growth not only within our community but also outside of the community to bring more business and activity into our community.”
Peterson explains it’s also important to capitalize on the growth of other communities as the improvement of the Perry Airport will hopefully bring in that added business traffic.
