Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers boys and girls cross country were able to find some success on their state qualifying cross country run on an overcast and windy Wednesday afternoon at Lakeview Country Club, as the Tigers boys team was able to qualify while girls runner Geneva Timmerman was able to make it as an individual qualifier.

Timmerman was able to grab a first place performance on the girls side with a time of 19 minutes and 10 seconds, nine seconds ahead of the closest competitor. Paige Mattes was able to grab a 23rd place performance with a time of 21 minutes and 8 seconds, and Hannah Desmarais 26th with a mark of 21 minutes and 28 seconds. The girls team finished 4th as a team just missing out on state qualifying, and conclude a very good season with the majority of their team returning.

The boys were able to grab a 3rd place performance as a team with a team score of 75 points and were ahead of 4th place Kuemper Catholic by 32 points. ADM was able to see two boys automatically qualify with senior Cooper Greenslade 3rd with a time of 16 minutes and 19 seconds and senior Quinton Kimrey 8th with a time of 16 minutes and 46 seconds. Rounding out the scoring for the Tigers was freshmen Torin Timmerman 18th with a time of 17 minutes and 28 seconds, Hubie Chaplin 21st with a time of 17 minutes 27 seconds, and senior Grant Vandevoorde 25th with a time of 17 minutes and 50 seconds.

Tigers cross country will be looking to put up some fantastic results in the 3A state cross country race next Friday in Fort Dodge, with the girls race to be at 2:30 and the boys race to be happening at 3:15.
