The Guthrie County Supervisors recently set up a commission of seven members for redistricting that occurs once every 10 years in Guthrie County.

Supervisor Chairman Mike Dickson, who also serves on the commission, explains the process of the redistricting commission.

“Now the way I understand it, the state will be sending us the map with the different districts and we can either approve what they send us or deny it.”

This map is used for the next 10 years as part of the new supervisor district boundaries, which there are five districts since there are five supervisors. Dickson also says if the commission denies the state’s map three times then they will draw the lines. According to Guthrie County Courthouse, the commission is made up of the following names, including Nancy Brutsche, Eric Weber, Dickson, Bryan Mowrer, Chris Arganbright, Forest Schnobrich and Dennis Flanery.
