WCV football falls to 3-4 on the season after a tough loss on the road to rival Nodaway Valley.

The Wildcats were riding high after a shutout victory over rival Panorama last week. They came into the game against the Wolverines with a .500, 3-3 record and a chance for a winning season for the first time since 2012. This game was a defensive struggle throughout. Both teams were held scoreless in the first quarter. The scoring didn’t get started until the second quarter. Both teams managed to pick up touchdowns and missed the extra point. It was a 6-6 game headed into halftime. However, the Wolverines would pull away in the third scoring a touchdown and two point conversion giving them the 14-6 advantage. The Wolverines would hold on to win this one 14-6.

WCV will have to win against Interstate 35 to get their first winning season in nearly nine years. That game is scheduled for 7pm Friday in Stuart.
